Hyderabad, April 22 : The Telangana State Election Commission on Thursday made it clear that it will go ahead with the conduct of elections to two municipal corporations and five municipalities on April 30.
State Election Commissioner C. Partha Sarathi said the elections would be held as per the schedule already announced but with strict adherence to all Covid-19 regulations.

The Telangana State Election Commission on Thursday has issued notification for the elections for two Municipal Corporations and five municipalities, which will be held on April 30.
Nominations can be filed between 16 and 18 of April from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM and scrutiny of nominations will take place on the 19th.
The Model code of conduct will be applicable to the area where the elections are notified.
Elections for 248 wards in the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation and Khammam Municipal Corporation, and Achampet, Siddipet, Nakrekal, Jadcherla and Kothur municipalities will be held. The last date for filing nominations is April 18 and they can be withdrawn before April 22. A total of 1,532 Polling stations will be set up for the polls.

Hyderabad, Jan 22 : Election for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Greater Hyderabad will be held on February 11.
The Telangana State Election Commission on Friday directed the election authority and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner to conduct the election on February 11 at 12.30 p.m.
State Election Commissioner (SEC) C. Partha Sarathi has issued a notification for the election, directing the election authority and GHMC Commissioner to authorise one of the District Collectors having jurisdiction over any area comprising the GHMC to conduct the election to the offices of Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
Over 12.7 lakh healthcare workers received COVID-19 vaccine jabs till Friday
Over 12.7 lakh healthcare workers have received COVID-19 vaccine jabs in the country till the evening of the seventh day of the nationwide immunisation as per a provisional report, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.
