Staff nurse posts: TSPSC merit list released

Hyderabad: Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Tuesday released merit list for staff nurse posts in the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, and Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (Health, Medical and Welfare Department).
According to a report published in Telangana Today, TSPSC said, “After verification of certificates, changes in service weightage marks of five candidates and changes in qualification weightage marks of 513 candidates and changes in other bio-data particulars such as zone, community, etc., of several candidates are noticed. These changes are carried out in the general ranking list and final merit is prepared”.
‘Otherwise an order would be passed to wind up institution’
Telangana High Court on Thursday directed the State government to fill up the posts of Chairman and nine members of Telangana State Public Service Commission within four weeks.
Otherwise a judicial order would be passed to wind up the institution so that the Commission’s premises would be used for better purposes, said a bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy.
PIL petition
The bench was hearing a PIL petition seeking a direction to fill up the posts of the Commission’s chairman and nine members which are vacant for the past eight months. The petition was filed by one J. Shankar.

Candidates who have taken the competitive exam for Assistant Statistical Officer posts conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) staged a protest in front of the Commission office here on Tuesday demanding announcement of results of the exam as the High Court has vacated stay.
They alleged that the State government has been playing with their lives by not filling the posts for the last three years even after conducting the exam. The protest was held under the aegis of Telangana Unemployed Joint Action Committee led by N. Venkatesh.
