Rainfall of up to three centimeters in the evening significantly lowered the temperature. The highest rainfall was reported at Miyapur (32.8 mm) followed by Gajularamaram (30.8 mm), Jeedimetla (26.3 mm), and Shapurnagar (26.3 mm). Bachpalle and Dharur recorded the most rain in the state. 37.3 mm and 36 mm of rain had fallen in these regions, said Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) Surprisingly, the rain that poured down on the city on Wednesday was particularly heavy in the city s western and west-central areas. The new wind trend is from west to east, which is why the clouds are moving in that direction, said an official.

Telangana to witness thunderstorms till April 21, predicts IMD By Sakina Fatima|   Updated: 20th April 2021 6:36 pm IST Representative Image Hyderabad: Pre-monsoon activity is set to continue in many parts of Telangana till April 21, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Tuesday issued a thunderstorm warning for several districts during the next 48 hours. The city witnessed sudden downpours, and heavy thunder, with some places receiving moderate rainfall. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Shanthi Nagar in Patancheruvu received the highest rainfall of 29 mm followed by 6.3 mm at Ramachandrampuram and 4.5 mm at Vengalrao Nagar. The rainfall led to a drop in maximum temperature to 37.2 degree Celsius, which is 1.2 degree Celsius below normal.
