Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Ponnam Prabhakar has lashed out at the State BJP leadership stating “Bengal is more important to them than the problems in Telangana that exposes their lack of understanding of issues”.
In a statement here, he ridiculed the dharna by BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar against the violence in Bengal and advised him to protest at Pragathi Bhavan against the State government for its failure in reaching out to people hit by COVID. “It is nothing but ridiculous for the BJP to ignore the failures of the TRS government but react to some issue nowhere connected to Telangana,” he said.

Senior Congress leader and former minister M Satyanarayana Rao died on Tuesday, party sources said. He was unwell for some time and breathed his last undergoing treatment at the state-run NIMS hospital here at around 2.45 am, they said.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons.

The Congress party has decided to set up control rooms in Gandhi Bhavan and in all districts to support COVID-19 victims by providing basic needs to check the virus spread and also share information on hospitals, plasma donors and other aspects.
AICC in-charge of party affairs in Telangana Manickam Tagore, who chaired the core committee meeting of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee held virtually on Monday, said that the situation in the country as also in Telangana was critical and alleged that the Central and State governments had completely failed to curb the spread of COVID-19 and the people were in a state of panic.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has charged the State Election Commissioner (SEC) with endangering the lives of lakhs of voters in the two municipal corporations and five municipalities by blindly going ahead with the polls ignoring the dangerous situation due to COVID-19.
In a letter to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, he sought her intervention in stopping the election process at the present point. “Since the Governor is the appointing authority of the State Election Commission (SEC) as per Article 243 in the Constitution of India, she should notice the unbecoming conduct and the highly biased manner in which the SEC of Telangana in conducting the elections,” he said.
