Armoor: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President & MP A. Revanth Reddy slammed BJP and TRS Governments for their anti-farmer policies and announced that the Congress party would wage a battle to get justice for farmers, especially turmeric and jowar farmers of Telangana.
Revanth Reddy offered to make all arrangements if the turmeric farmers wish to hold a protest in the national capital at Jantar Mantar or any other place to pressurise the BJP Govt for establishment of turmeric board.
He was addressing a massive public meeting at Armoor in Nizamabad district on Saturday. Senior leaders, including former minister & ex-Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, MLC T. Jeevan Reddy and other senior leaders also addressed the meeting.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) minorities department chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Saturday demanded that TRS government make an official announcement on when the foundation stones of re-construction of two mosques and a temple in the Secretariat premises, which were illegally demolished in July last year, would be laid.
Abdullah Sohail, in a media statement, said that neither chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao nor his ministers made any official announcement of a date for laying the foundation stone for reconstruction of demolished places of worship.

Hyderabad: A day after the first Pay Revision Commission (PRC) for Telangana government employees recommended a fitment of 7.5 per cent on basic pay, employee unions and opposition parties in the state expressed disappointment. Many of them on Wednesday and Thursday took to the streets to lodge protest over meager pay hike even after waiting for over 30 months.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday demanded adequate compensation to families of agricultural labourers who were killed and injured in a road accident at Devarakonda on Thursday.
Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with ex-ZP chairman Balu Naik, and DCC president Shankar Naik, visited Devarakonda hospital and paid their respects to the victims. The TPCC chief gave Rs 4 lakh assistance to the families of the victims on behalf of the Congress.

A gherao planned by the Congress at Raj Bhavan to express the party’s solidarity with the farming community protesting on the outskirts of Delhi against the three new controversial farm laws for nearly two months now turned out to be tense with police obstructing party leaders’ march at different places and also arresting them.
