Chaudhry in a statement said the public may not get any assistance from government as they have not announced any measures to assist the victims of cyclone Yasa which hit them six weeks  ago. He said many of those affected are third- time victims, having previously sustained losses from cyclones Harold and Yasa. “The category two cyclone has inflicted widespread damage to homes, crops, livestock, roads and power infrastructure throughout Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.” “The slow moving system caused widespread flooding of major rivers in Nadi, Ba, Labasa, Rewa and other low lying areas.”
