176 infected in new coronavirus outbreaks at 57 schools, says Michigan’s May 10 school outbreak report

The data was collected on Thursday, May 6, and includes preschools and daycares in those buildings
Last week, the state reported 197 infections in new outbreaks at 65 K-12 school buildings.
The biggest new outbreaks involves 12 students on the track team at Fulton Middle School in Gratiot County; nine students at West Middle School in Rochester Hills, and eight students and staff at St. Stephen Catholic School in New Boston, which is part of metro Detroit.

Last week, the state reported 189 infections in new outbreaks at 41 K-12 school districts.
The biggest new outbreaks involves 14 children and staff at Teddy Bear Playhouse preschool in Oakland County’s Commerce Township, and 10 students at Harlan Elementary in Bloomfield Hills.
K-12 school outbreaks were identified in 23 counties. Below are those outbreaks listed by county.

It was Michigan versus Michigan, with both singers having a legit shot of winning the hit reality singing competition, “The Voice.”
16-year old Rio Doyle, from Adrian, is a junior at Tecumseh High School. 34-year old Zania Alaké is a banker from Detroit and a single mother of two young kids. Both were on John Legend’s team and performed against each other in tonight’s third round known as the Knockouts.
Doyle performed “Issues” by Julia Michaels while Alaké sang “If I Were Your Woman” by Gladys Knight.

The biggest new outbreaks involves 28 students at Three Rivers High School and 24 students at Byron Center High School in suburban Grand Rapids.

Bay: Bangor West Elementary, one student.

Fans of Adrian’s Rio Doyle needed to wait quite a bit in order to see her make her second appearance on NBC’s singing competition “The Voice.” She was the last competing act on Monday’s two-hour episode — but at least it was worth the wait.
Sixteen-year-old Doyle, a student at Tecumseh High School, advanced in the singing competition after being selected by her mentor, John Legend, as the winner of a head-to-head singing battle against fellow teen, 17-year-old Carolina Rial from Ridgefield, New Jersey.

A Michigan high school student just gave the performance of her life on national television in the second round of “The Voice.”
16-year old Rio Doyle, from Adrian, is a junior at Tecumseh High School. She landed on John Legend’s team after her Battle Round audition where she performed Adele’s “When We Were Young,” which aired on March 15.
Legend paired her against 17-year old Carolina Rial from New Jersey for tonight’s Battle Round performance. The two performed Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.”
