Elegant change of guards ceremony held at Quaid s mausoleum

The nation is celebrating 144th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – As the nation is celebrating 144th birth anniversary of Founder of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Friday with traditional zeal, an elegant change of guards ceremony was held at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi.
Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) cadets assumed the guards’ duties. Commandant PMA Major-General Omer Ahmed Bokhari was the chief guest and inspected the contingent comprising male and female cadets. He offered Fatiha, laid a wreath of flowers and recorded his impressions in the visitor’s book.
President Arif Alvi pledges minorities’ welfare as Christians celebrate Christmas

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has vowed that the government of Pakistan would continue to take steps for minorities’ welfare and would try its utmost to uphold the principles of equality and justice for all communities residing in Pakistan.
In his message on the occasion of Christmas being celebrated on Friday around the world including in Pakistan, the president said that I would like to extend my heartiest appreciation to our Christian brethren for their patriotism and devoted service to the Country.
“I extend my heartfelt felicitations to our Christian brethren in Pakistan and all over the world on the joyous occasion of Christmas and wish them a happy new year,” he said.
