Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate country s first ever All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), modeled on the lines of AIIMS on Tuesday, which will be observed as Ayurveda Day.
Set up on a total area of 10.015 acres on a budget of Rs 157 crore, the institute aims to focus on fundamental research of Ayurveda, drug development, standardization, quality control, safety evaluation and scientific validation of Ayurvedic medicine.

Move to decongest government health facilities
The Odisha government on Thursday directed all private hospitals to reserve 50% of their beds for admitting COVID-19 patients and charge reasonable cost.
The government has fixed treatment cost to be charged by private hospitals. The 50% reservation will also be applicable to intensive care unit and high density unit beds. The government came up with instruction in order to decongest government health facilities.

Mangaluru, Jan 14: The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) has granted NABH accreditation to Unity Hospital, with effect from December 2, 2020, which is valid up to December 1, 2023.
NABH is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organizations. NABH is an institutional member as well as a board member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) and the hospitals accredited by NABH will have international recognition.
Accreditation in healthcare goes beyond just infrastructure for a hospital. It is about process and outcome.
