A man who was filmed smashing windows in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, at the spot where Ashli Babbitt was fatally shot, was arrested Saturday after a family member tipped off the FBI, federal prosecutors said.
Zachary Jordan Alam was arrested in Pennsylvania and faces charges of assault on a federal officer with a dangerous or deadly weapon, destruction of government property, unlawful entry in a restricted building without lawful authority, and violent entry and disorderly conduct, a federal criminal complaint said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. A Kentucky man was reportedly arrested Thursday in Pennsylvania in connection with last month s deadly U.S. Capitol riot, with federal authorities accusing him of spraying mace at police officers during the Jan. 6 attack.
He was charged federally with entering restricting grounds, entering grounds with the intent to impede government business, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, assault on a federal officer, and obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder.
An affidavit says the FBI National Threat Operations Center received a tip Jan. 11 from an individual who is personally acquainted with Schwartz.
The individual said Schwartz was involved in the riot in Washington, D.C., along with supporters of then-President Donald Trump, and that he was supposed to be at a rehabilitation facility in Owensboro on Jan. 6.

A Pittsburgh-area man has been arrested and charged today with taking part in the U.S. Capitol siege that followed a rally in Washington, D.C., in support of then-President Donald Trump.
Kenneth Grayson, 51, a resident of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, faces five federal counts, including knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building; disorderly conduct which impedes the conduct of government business; disruptive conduct in the Capitol buildings; parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol; and obstructing or impeding any official proceeding, according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.
A witness placed Grayson inside the Capitol through a livestream Grayson posted to Facebook on Jan. 6, according to charging documents. The witness, in an interview, provided the FBI with photographs and screen shots that showed Grayson’s alleged involvement in the siege, the document states.

A Florida man is facing federal charges after a social media picture showed him inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot, according to a criminal complaint and Justice Department documents.
Tony Mariotto, of Fort Pierce, was arrested on Jan. 22 and charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, according to the Justice Department.
On Jan. 6, the day the Capitol was breached while Congress was in a joint session to certify electoral votes for President Joe Biden, a “concerned citizen” contacted the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center, alleging that Mariotto had been inside the building around the same time, according to a Jan. 21 criminal complaint (pdf).
