Denmark researchers recently stumbled across a box containing human
bones from the Viking age.
The remains were thought to have been lost for the last 100 years.
The bones likely belonged to a wealthy man who may have been royal.
First this Viking’s grave was looted by farmers, then the remains and rich grave goods were recollected – and then mislaid. Moral of the story: Be careful what you write on boxes
