Belarus, UNFPA implement project on demographics Archive photo MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) are carrying out the international technical assistance project “Strengthening scientific and educational capacities of the Republic of Belarus in the field of demographic data collection, analysis, and use for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”, BelTA learned from the ministry. The project is aimed at improving the country s capacities in education and research in demographics, monitoring the implementation of the existing documents and programs and development of new ones on population and demographic issues. It shall be implemented in furtherance of the project “Supporting the implementation of the national program of demographic security of the Republic of Belarus” for 2015-2017, which was also carried out by the Labor and Social Security Ministry in association with the UNF
