Image Credit: AP Dubai: Bahrain’s National Health Regulatory Authority has categorically rejected social media rumour that tap water carried coronavirus, slamming it as false and misleading, local media reported. The authority warned against sharing “misleading and incorrect” information and urged everyone to take information from official and authenticated sources only. “Always make sure to refer to studies and scientific research published by internationally accredited medical and scientific media to ensure the correctness of the information shared,” the authority said.

Doctori raises $500,000 Seed round Bahrain-based healthtech startup Doctori, has raised a $500,000 Seed funding round led by a group of undisclosed investors. Founded in 2018 by Ahmed Alawadhi and Ahmed Mahmood, Doctori connects physicians to patients via video call. The startup is licensed by the National Health Regulatory Authority. The startup plans to use the funds to improve its newly launched app, Doctor Who app, which includes more than 300 physicians and consultants. Doctori also has plans to expand to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
