Four streams of federal ministries introduced July 25, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The federal government has introduced four streams of federal ministries and divisions and asked all grade-19 officers of the Secretariat Group to indicate their preferences in these categories for the best utilisation of human resources in the federal secretariat. In order to utilise the human resource in the federal secretariat in a more appropriate and effective manner, an official letter was issued on July 19 addressing all officers of BS-19 in the secretariat group. The Establishment Division has categorised the ministries in the following four streams- 1) Technical, 2) Finance, Economics and Trade, 3) Social Sector Development, and 4) General Management.

KARACHI: Speakers at a webinar held on Sunday called for more concerted efforts to invest in reproductive health to provide quality family planning services and information to people and to avoid repeated pregnancies and maternal deaths. The event was organised by the Population Council to mark World Population Day with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This year’s theme is “Rights and choices are the answer: Whether baby boom or bust, the solution to shifting fertility rates lies in prioritising the reproductive health and rights of all people”. Highlighting the government’s commitment to the cause, Senator Dr Zarqa Suhrawardi Taimur, Member Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, said the government would take all stakeholders on board including religious leaders, media and the young people to achieve sustainable population growth.

Legislators, civil society mark population day July 12, 2021 Islamabad : The government is committed to take all stakeholders on board including religious leaders, media and the young people to achieve sustainable population growth. This was stated by Senator Dr. Zarqa Suhrawardi Taimur, Member Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination at meeting organized by the Population Council to mark World Population Day with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The meeting was also attended by Senator Walid Iqbal, civil society representatives, reproductive health experts, members from the academia and the media. Every year, July 11 marks the commemoration of World Population Day.
