(Provided photo). Facebook Share Lavet Henderson, 38, has thrown her hat in the ring to run a seat on the council. Henderson said in her announcement the children and families of Harrisburg deserve leadership that listens to them and represents their values, and she is the candidate who can do that. She is a Harrisburg native who attended Central Dauphin East Senior High School, HACC and Hagerstown University. She interned in the Capitol office of state Sen.
