Taliban destroyed homes say residentsofAfganistan ANI 31 Jul 2021, 05:55 GMT+10 Kabul [Afghanistan] July 31 (ANI): The residents of the newly retaken Kaldar district of Afghanistan s Balkh have said that the Taliban torched their homes and used them as human shields during the fighting with the Afghan security forces. Citing locals, TOLO News reported that the civilian population paid a heavy price during the fighting between the two sides and their livestock and other belongings were lost. Tazarigh village, which is only eight kilometres away from the center of Kaldar district, saw some of the heaviest fighting between the security forces and the Taliban. People in the area say that their homes were destroyed.
