During the last 12 months, insurgents have turned to magnetic sticky bomb attacks across the country, targeting civilians, according to a TOLOnews report.
According to the Afghan news channel, the Haqqani network, with its extensive technical and logistical capabilities for suicide bombing and ties to the Pakistani government, will remain in place regardless of what happens politically.

Over 40 Killed in Past Day Amid Sharp Rise in Violence
At least 40 people were killed in 10 provinces of the country and over 50 more were wounded in the last 24 hours.
In one of the incidents, 11 civilians were killed and 29 more were wounded in a roadside bomb explosion that targeted a bus carrying passengers in the southern province of Zabul.
“This bomb hit a 404 bus, in which, unfortunately, 11 civilians were martyred and 29 more were wounded,” said Wais Samimi, the police chief of Zabul.
In Logar, five members of the National Directorate of Security, the head of the economy directorate of the province and a manager of the Central Bank branch in the province were killed in three separate incidents that all involved attacks by unknown gunmen.
Three Security Force Members Killed in Separate Incidents
Two local army soldiers and a member of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) were killed in separate incidents in Kapsia and Sar-e-Pul provinces, local officials and sources said.
Khawja Atiqullah, an NDS member in Hese Dowom-e-Kohistan district in Kapisa, and his cousin were killed in an attack by unidentified armed men in the district on Tuesday night, the provincial police spokesman Shayiq Shorish said.
Police have started an investigation into the incident, he said.
Meanwhile, two members of local army, including Habibullah, their commander, were killed and two more were wounded in a bomb blast in Sayad district of Sar-e-Pul province on Wednesday morning, a source said.
