An Army astronaut has received one of the rarest military uniform devices.
Col. Andrew âDrewâ Morgan received the Army astronaut device from Lt. Gen. Daniel Karbler, commander of Space and Missile Defense Command, during a May 5 ceremony at the National Museum of the United States Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
âArmy astronauts are more than astronauts,â Karbler said. âThey represent the Army, serving as ambassadors to the public. NASA has long recognized the skills and qualities of military astronauts.
âCol. Morgan represents the âhuman elementâ of Army space capabilities, like so many SMDC Soldiers around the world.â
Morgan, along with Army astronaut Lt. Col. Anne McClain are the only active duty Soldiers who have received the device, considered by many to be one of the rarest qualification devices a Soldier can receive.

From the Opposition benches, the Conservative MP Leo Amery yelled: ‘Speak for England, Arthur!’ And he did, demanding Hitler be stopped.
But Arthur Greenwood didn’t just speak for England. The Yorkshireman spoke for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the entire United Kingdom.
Inevitably, Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has been forced to confront a blizzard of questions about the road to independence. But that’s only half the unfolding story
