TEHRAN, May 29 (Xinhua) Indonesia has released an Iranian oil tanker seized by the country s coast guards earlier this year, Iran s state TV reported Saturday. The MT Horse, belonging to the National Iranian Tanker Company that had been detained in Indonesian waters since Jan. 24, was released on Friday, said the report. The vessel was released after a legal battle and efforts by senior Iranian officials and has now resumed its mission, it added. In January, Indonesia announced that its coast guard had seized the Iranian-flagged MT Horse and the Panamanian-flagged MT Freya vessels for suspected illegal oil transfer in the country s waters.

(Manaure Quintero/Reuters) How Maduro’s regime is hanging on, two years after an uprising against it and what Biden should do about it.
Two years ago, on April 30, 2019, the Venezuelan people took to the streets to reclaim their democracy from the illegitimate rule of Nicolás Maduro. Yet for now, Maduro still clings to power. In so doing, he has driven what was once the wealthiest country in Latin America with the world’s largest proven oil reserves, its second-largest gold deposits, and one of the highest literacy rates in the region into abject, grinding poverty.
Biden’s Iran Deal Will Weaken U.S. National Security
Reviving a fatally flawed, outdated deal that strengthens the world’s top terrorist regime should not be President Biden’s objective. Strengthening U.S. national security and standing with our allies should be.
For weeks, the Biden administration and the Iranian regime have been sequestered at a posh hotel in Vienna, negotiating the terms of their mutual return to compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA). After four rounds of negotiations, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani was quoted proclaiming that “almost all the main sanctions have been removed.” If that’s true, then it would be epic negotiating malpractice and, worse, an indefensible surrender of U.S. national security by President Joe Biden’s lead negotiator Rob Malley to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Here’s why.
