New Leak Shows ATF Changing Secret Rules To Make It Easier To Revoke FFLs
WASHINGTON, D.C. -(AmmoLand.com)- A Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) leak shows that the organization is changing its secret rules regarding guns sellers to make it easier for the government to strip firearms dealers of their federal firearms license (FFL).
In 2020, Gun Owners of America (GOA) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the ATF. The gun-rights group asked the agency to provide a copy of ATF O 5370, entitled “Federal Firearms Administrative Action Policy and Procedures.” This document lays out the administrative remedies for violations found during an ATF inspection of a licensed firearms dealer.

Anti-gun doctors and medical professionals are media darlings and useful tools for the gun control lobby, but as it turns out, the medical community (or at least one section of it) isn’t as enthralled with things like gun and magazine bans as the news media and gun control groups make it out to be.
A new survey of more than 11,000 surgeons conducted by the American College of Surgeons found that, while a majority of respondents believe that the ACS should play an active role in “advocating for policies and programs designed to lower the risk of firearm-related injuries and deaths,” support for policies that involve banning firearms and magazines is much lower.
Surgeons endorse policies and programs designed to lower firearm-related injuries and deaths
In what may be the largest survey of physician attitudes about firearms and how firearm-owning surgeons store guns in their homes, U.S. members of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) said they support the organization taking an active role in advocating for policies and programs designed to lower the risk of firearm-related injuries and deaths. The advocacy initiatives they support include preventing people with serious mental illness from buying firearms and cracking down on illegal firearms sales.
Results from the survey of 54,761 U.S. ACS members, of whom 11,147 responded, have been published as two articles on the website of the Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JACS) in advance of print.
