Democrats are advocating for expanded background checks, and President Joe Biden is facing questions about where he stands on the issue.
But one viral Facebook post claimed Democrats in Congress cast a vote that headed in the other direction, limiting the information flow on one group of gun owners. It says Democrats opposed notifying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement when undocumented immigrants purchase firearms.

Arizona has some of the least restrictive gun laws in the nation, built on a pioneer, conservative ethos of Second Amendment rights. That has meant most Arizona adults can openly carry weapons into many public and private spaces.
Arizona also is the hub of a national gun-reform group, the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, named after U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, who was gravely injured in a mass shooting outside a Tucson grocery store in 2011.

You might be surprised to learn it is true. Under federal law, you cannot use marijuana and buy or possess a firearm even if state law allows recreational weed.
