Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 24 (ANI): Thane Municipal Corporation on Wednesday rejected a proposal of land compensation of around 2,000 hectare land in Thane for bullet train route.
The Proposal was given by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited ( NHSRCL) which was brought for consideration in yesterday s Thane municipal corporation meet where it was rejected.
This rejection of proposal has effectively rejected the transfer of the land required for bullet train in TMC jurisdiction.

Mysore/Mysuru: India’s
National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has invited tenders (bids) for the first dedicated preparatory survey work to develop the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the upcoming 450-km Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai High Speed Rail project in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
This is the second high-speed rail line planned in South India and is expected to cut down the travel time between Chennai and Mysuru to less than 2.5 hours.
The tender notice was issued by NHSRCL last evening and it is the final of six new high-speed rail corridors planned by the Government of India last year, for which basic preliminary work has commenced to start construction on the project.

First visuals of the ES5 Series Shinkasen or the bullet train that will ply between Mumbai and Ahmedabad have been released by the Japanese embassy. The Embassy stated the train will be modified for use as rolling stock of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail project (MAHSR).
It is being executed by a special purpose vehicle (SPV) named National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) with financial and technical assistance from the Government of Japan.

The first visuals of the E5 Series Shinkansen, also known as Japan’s bullet train, has been released by the Japanese embassy. The Embassy of Japan in India has said that the train will be modified for use as rolling stock of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project (MAHSR).
The 508-kilometre MAHSR or the bullet train project has been sanctioned by the government with a target to be completed by 2023.
