Water pipe bursts to be resigned to history in Jerpoint 450m of water mains to be replaced in Kilkenny community Reporter: );   ); Frequent bursts will soon be resigned to history in Jerpoint, as Irish Water, working in partnership with Kilkenny County Council are set to replace 450m of ageing, problematic water mains on the R448. The works will pass along the site of the old Cistercian Abbey and will commence in late April. The contractors, carrying out the works on behalf of Irish Water will be Coffey Eng. Tec Limited and are expected to be completed in early June.

  Water repair works are due to take place this week, with Irish Water advising some customers in the county will experience disruptions to their water. As part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, Irish Water say mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Ballyeriston, Loughfad, Magheraroarty, Kilclooney Beg and surrounding areas in Donegal Works are scheduled to take place from 11am until 3pm on the 19 of January. Irish Water recommends that people allow up to three hours after the estimated restoration time for their water supply to fully return.

Disruption to water supply in Ballinamuck, Drumlish and Newtownforbes  Reporter:   ); Burst water mains and leak detection works have led to water outages for many people across Longford today.  Longford County Council and Irish Water are reporting of disruption to supply in Ballinamuck, Drumlish, Lanesboro and Newtownforbes.  Irish Water say the issue in Lanesboro has been resolved since shortly after 11am this morning.
