Biz Kid$ is a credit union-funded and branded financial education program for young adults, championed by the National Credit Union Foundation. Biz Kid$ ignites a passion for students to invest in their financial futures through lessons in entrepreneurship, money, managing finances, and more. Biz Kid$ Business Plan Competitions are a unique way for students, like you, to learn the ins and outs of business planning and put ideas into action.
Over the last few months, over 100 students participated in the first-ever national Biz Kid$ Showcase! Presented in partnership with the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation, the RMJ Foundation, the Illinois Credit Union Foundation and the Credit Union Association of New Mexico, the Biz Kid$ Showcase allowed creativity to continue in a virtual world. Nominations open for 2022 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards
The National Credit Union Foundation is now seeking nominations for the 2022 Wegner Awards, looking to the credit union movement to nominate individuals and organizations for the 33rd annual Herb Wegner Memorial Awards to be presented during its fundraising gala.
“2022 the year we will be back together in person to celebrate our credit union movement!” said Gigi Hyland, Executive Director at the Foundation. “Through all of our challenges these past 14 months, credit union leaders have stepped up, leveraged their cooperative principles and values and are finding ways to bolster and sustain their employees’, members’ and communities’ financial well-being. Living and breathing the credit union difference is always worth celebrating and we can’t wait to be with you in February 2022 to honor our movement’s exemplary leaders.”
