HONOLULU – As a part of its 38
th annual commemoration of National Missing Children’s Day today, the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) honored Hawaii Department of the Attorney General’s Missing Child Center Hawaii (“MCCH”) Coordinator Amanda Leonard and Assistant Coordinator Kaleilani Grant with its Child Protection Award.

Today is National Missing Children s Day, and the Killeen Police Department needs our help finding a missing teen and getting him home safely.
KPD says 16-year-old Sim Q Lewis Jr. of Killeen was seen leaving his home on Saturday, May 22.
He s described as a Black male weighing 6 0 and weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black beanie hat, a black and white Nike jacket, black and white shoes, ripped blue jeans, and a gray backpack.
If anyone has information concerning the whereabouts of Sim Q Lewis Jr., they are asked to contact the Killeen Police Department at (254) 501-8800.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has launched the TN KidKit to help parents and guardians document details about children in their care, according to a news release.
The TBI says the program’s launch coincides with National Missing Children’s Day, and the program is meant to allow guardians access to information to share with law enforcement in the event of an emergency.
“When a child goes missing, every second matters,” said Shelly Smitherman, TBI’s Assistant Special Agent in Charge overseeing the Bureau’s missing children efforts. “So, too, does having the right kind of information.”
