1 in 5 adults say they don’t plan to get a COVID-19 vaccine, while 14% are unsure. 77% of white adults who want a shot have gotten one, compared with 60% of Black adults and 55% of Hispanics who want one. Among adults who are unsure about getting vaccinated, 36% said they are concerned about potential side effects, while 29% said they are worried that the vaccines moved too quickly through clinical trials. Mothers, adults under 45 years old who earn less than $50,000 annually and Republicans and Black adults without college degrees are some of the groups most likely to say they’re unsure or unwilling to get vaccinated.
