But a 12-year-old Thompson boy walking home with a friend last Saturday became mired in something much more alarming a sinkhole hidden under a muddy puddle.

Corvette C8 Production Reportedly Halted Again Due To Supply Issues

Production of the Corvette C8 has been riddled with starts and stops due to COVID-19 interrupting the supply chain. Now, it looks like we’re seeing yet another round of delays.

The initial report came on corvetteforum, where one user shared an email he received about a delayed completion. It read:
I just received this from Shane at the NCM:BGAP (Bowling Green Assembly Plant) has just announced a suspension of production for the week of 2/1 due to supply chain issues. Due to recent delays and this shutdown, the new anticipated completion date of your car is 2/12. If your previously scheduled tentative appointment does not fall at least 2 weeks beyond this date, we will need to reschedule.
Imagine purchasing a slick new Corvette. Imagine driving it around town and hitting up your usual spots, feeling the Maine summer breeze and fresh air.
Now imagine after only about five years of owning the car, you no longer want to drive it and would rather just seal it away inside a brick vault. And that brick vault will remain closed for nearly three decades.
Wait. What? Why would you do that?
Well, that s just part of the story that surrounds a Corvette and its owner Richard Sampson of Brunswick, Maine.
Only 3,640 Corvettes were produced in 1954, according to corvsport.com, and Sampson got his very own white one, complete with a red interior, that same year.
