The sounds of their cheering were muffled but audible on the other side of the building, in a temporary shelter for hundreds of other children all of them unaccompanied minors who recently crossed the border and now face an uncertain future.The Dallas site is one of more than a dozen temporary shelters the Biden administration frantically established to accommodate the record number of unaccompanied minors now arriving at the U.S. southern border.Details that have emerged in recent weeks reveal the race behind the scenes to set up the sites, recruit volunteers and staff, and then relocate children to a sponsor, like a parent or relative, in the United States while they continue with their immigration

The warehouse, owned by the National Association of Christian Churches (NACC), was originally designed for disaster services. On April 1, however, it was transformed into a holding facility for illegals due to a massive border influx under Resident Biden.
Immigrant advocate groups had raised concerns about conditions at the shelter, as well as NACC’s unfamiliarity with “unaccompanied” children. The final straw was when a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) staffer dropped dead at the facility the night before it was shuttered.

Last Saturday, the Biden administration abruptly closed a temporary facility housing nearly 500 unaccompanied illegal immigrant girls in Houston, Texas, a move allegedly due to the “unbearable” conditions of the facility.
The facility is an emergency shelter of the National Association of Christian Churches (NACC), a nonprofit organization focused on disaster services. It’s actually in a warehouse in northern Houston, near the George Bush International Airport. From April 1, NACC opened the shelter as a temporary facility to house unaccompanied girls.
