New dine-in theater follows Governor Northam s COVID-19 restrictions

The Progress-Index CHESTER - Movie lovers finally were able to check out Cinema Cafe which opened on Friday in Chesterfield County. On a non-pandemic day, 1200 people could occupy the new dine-in theater, however, with Governor Northam s COVID-19 restrictions in place, the occupancy can not exceed 250 at one time, according to owner Michael Ogden. Four hundred people made their way to Bermuda Crossroads Shopping Center situated off of Route 301 in Chester to watch a flick. Normally, we would have 2000 or more. It s a pandemic, and we re under strict rules with the seat count, said Odgen. I think we did really well with the limited capacity even though we did not get to the number that we wanted to reach within the restrictions.
