The Rush Limbaugh Show, Mark Steyn wrote that he owes “almost everything” to Limbaugh, who passed away Wednesday morning after a year-long battle with lung cancer.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) announces the launch of the 12th NAWIC International Women’s Day (IWD) Scholarship designed to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of women in the construction industry.
Open to all members of NAWIC, the 2021 scholarship with a $20,000 prize will be awarded to any eligible female member to develop and/or carry out research to challenge or change current industry thinking. The scholarship is extended to include all aspects of the construction process from improvements in construction methodology to the exploration of policy issues such as the participation of women in the construction industry.

Dr. Felicia Petty Smith s seven-year term on the board of the Arkansas Humanities Council (AHC) ended on Dec. 31. She was welcomed as a board member in January 2013. For the past two years, she presided as AHC’s chairperson. She served as a member under directors Paul Austin and Jama Best and was previously on the selection committee for the AHC director position.
AHC presented Smith with a service award plaque to honor her volunteer work on the board, where she brought an array of educational experiences to the table. She was a committee member of the first strategic planning process, the REACH grant, the mini-grant, and major grant programs, and was a member of the director selection, financial, and executive committees.
