ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant (SA) to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill Wednesday said the present government was successfully fulfilling its promises made with the people.
Addressing a news conference along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Sadaqat Abbasi, he said three major projects, being inaugurated by the Prime Minister Imran Khan in Peshawar this day, would serve the masses in true sense.
Giving the details, Dr Gill said the ownership rights of 1,320 houses were being awarded to the low income people in Nowshera under Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, in the first phase. Listing another project, he revealed that the prime minister was inaugurating the newly constructed OPD Block and other state-of-the-art facilities in Khyber Teaching Hospital.

A day after threatening to hit National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser with his shoe, PML-N Member of National Assembly and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was asked on Wednesday by the National Assembly secretariat to tender an apology over his remarks.
“The speaker has taken very serious note of your continuous misbehaviour and disregard of Chair and accepted parliamentary norms and especially on the occasion when a very important business was about to transact before the House on 20th April 2021,” a notice sent to Abbasi by the NA secretariat read. “The speaker believes that his authority was eroded/disregarded and smooth running of parliament proceedings were obstructed,” it further said. “By your such act you have interrupted and obstructed the business of the National Assembly and ridiculed the Chair,” read the notice.
