New Delhi [India], May 3 (ANI/Oswaal Books): CLAT 2021 is considered to be the most popular entrance exam with people who want to pursue their career in Law. But, with the coronavirus situation worsening in the whole country, schedule of all the competitive exams is getting affected.
Due to the safety concerns of all the aspirants, CLAT 2021 exams are also most likely to be postponed. The students should focus on preparing for their exams from home, and plan properly for the same.
The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities met on 28th April 2021. After reviewing recent developments the Committee resolved to extend the application deadline due to difficulties faced by students arising out of bank closures and lockdowns. The last date for submission of CLAT of CLAT 2021 online applications has been extended upto Saturday, the 15th May, 2021

CLAT 2021 will be held on June 13
CLAT 2021: The application process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) has been extended to May 15, which was earlier scheduled to be closed on April 30. Interested candidates can now apply for the law entrance through the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) website-Â consortiumofnlus.ac.in.Â
According to CNLU notification, âThe executive committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities met on April 28, 2021. After reviewing recent developments, the committee resolved to extend the application deadline due to difficulties faced by students arising out of bank closures and lockdowns. Â
The CLAT 2021 is scheduled to be held on June 13 in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. The entrance exam will carry 150 multiple-choice questions of one mark each. The test will be of 150 marks and there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The 2021 Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) remains scheduled for 13 June 2021 but with the pandemic re-raging more strongly than ever, the CLAT Consortium of National Law Universities has announced that it is aware of this (see notification above).
The consortium would take a call on how things progress by May 2021, though it stopped short of announcing a postponement right now.
That may be stating the obvious, as may be its plea that “applicants are advised not to panic at this stage”, though to be fair to the consortium everything is up in the air right now, with an end of this wave, let alone its upper limits, being impossible to predict.

In a notification issued on Monday, the Consortium of National Law Universities has informed the applicants appearing for CLAT 2021 examination that since the Pandemic situation is currently being monitored, it shall take the stock of the situation in the first week of May and will decide a date thereafter.
The notification issued by the Convenor of Clat 2021 read thus: All applicants of CLAT-2021 are hereby informed that Consortium of National Law Universities is monitoring the COVID- 19 Pandemic situation and will take the stock of the situation in the first week of May 2021 regarding the date of test. Notification will be issued on the website of Consortium subsequently. The applicants are advised not to panic at this stage as the Consortium shall be taking appropriate steps as time and situation demand and shall keep the applicants updated accordingly.

The students of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata have again secured record placements across all National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country for the graduating Batch of 2020. A total of 119 job offers were made to the Batch with many students receiving multiple job offers.
