Middleboro student Hannah Thornton has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the NSHSS to follow her dreams of becoming a speech therapist.
Thornton is currently attending Bridgewater State University, studying Communication Sciences and Disorders. After she completes her Bachelor’s degree, she hopes to continue her education at BSU in speech therapy.
“A short term goal is definitely just finishing college and getting out into the field and enjoying being a speech therapist,” Hannah says.
She graduated from Bristol Plymouth this past spring after studying Early Childhood Education. It was during her high school education that she realized her passion was working with kids, and that she wanted to pursue speech therapy.
