Expressing his views to the media, Government Medical Officers Association Editor Dr. Haritha Aluthge states that if the public acts irresponsibly, strict travel restrictions will have to be imposed again in the future.
The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated that among the 616 patients reported in Sri Lanka, 266 patients which is the highest number of cases were reported from the Colombo District.
From the Borella, 65 cases were reported, while 62 persons were reported from the Mattakkuliya and 17 from Slave Island.
Meanwhile, 99 patients were identified from the Kandy District, and 94 patients were reported from the Gampaha District.
