Colombo (News 1st); 984 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Colombo District so far in April 2021, said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) on Monday (19).
A total of 4,090 COVID-19 cases were reported from across the country in April 2021, it added.
From the 01st of April 2021 to 06:00 AM on Monday (19), a total of 471 COVID-19 infections were reported from the Jaffna District while 394 COVID-19 infections were reported from the Gampaha District.

Colombo (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed two (02) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Saturday (17). Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 617.
1. The deceased is a 73 year old female resident in Kelaniya. She died on 16.04.2021 at National Hospital Colombo. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID Pneumonia, Diabetes, Hypertension, TB and Cerebro vascular accident.
2. The deceased is a 71 year old male resident in Kurunegala. He died on 16.04.2021 at a private hospital in Colombo. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia, Diabetes and High Hypertension.

Colombo (News 1st); 3,243 people had tested positive for COVID-19 so far in the month of April, said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak on Saturday (17).
From the 01st of April to the 16th of April, a total of 846 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Colombo District, said the NOCPCO.
During the same period, 432 people tested positive for the coronavirus from the Jaffna District while 323 people contracted COVID-19 from the Gampaha District.
