Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has finally reacted to the comments by the National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi regarding the approval of some ministerial nominee of President Akufo-Addo.
The claim that lawyers Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah and Henry Nana Boakye, two of the spokespersons for President Nana Akufo-Addo, the second respondent in the ongoing election petition, are “seeking” to “incite the Supreme Court against Dr Dominic Ayine”, one of the spokespersons of former President John Mahama, the petitioner, “is a blatant falsehood that must be rejected by Ghanaians”, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said.
In a statement signed by Mr Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Director of Communication, the party Dr Ayine must take full responsibility for the comments he passed recently against the Supreme Court rather than accusing President Akufo-Addo’s legal spokesperson of inciting the court against the former deputy attorney general.
