Saturday update: 159 new COVID-19 cases reported in York County

The number of COVID19 cases in York County hit 44,286 on Saturday, an increase of 159 cases over the day prior.
There have been 149,557 patients in the county who have tested negative for the virus, about 3.4% of the total 4,401,685 negative patients in the state, according to the state Health Department.
There were no new deaths linked to COVID-19 reported in York County on Saturday, leaving the death toll at 783 since the outbreak began.
Statewide, there were 3,100 additional cases, bringing the total to 1,154,105. About 89% of patients have recovered. There were also 35 new deaths. The death toll now stands at 26,253.

There were three additional deaths linked to COVID-19 in York County reported on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 781 since the outbreak began, according to the state Health Department.
The county s case total also hit 43,963, an increase of 142 cases over the day before. There have been 148,893 patients in the county who have tested negative for COVID-19, about 3.4% of the total 4,382,980 negative patients in the state.
Statewide, there were 3,322 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 1,146,398. About 88% of patients have recovered. There were also 50 new deaths. The death toll now stands at 26,179.

RICHMOND, Va. Delia Nohemy Lopez Figueroa will soon bring a new life into the world. By word of mouth, the Guatemalan-native sought prenatal care through Crossover Healthcare Ministry located on Richmondâs Southside. With the help of a volunteer interpreter, Delia said sheâs uninsured and has nowhere else to turn to for help with her pregnancy.
âI was offered help possibly in July and August at other places and by then I wouldâve given birth,â she explained.

Although the town couldn’t celebrate its numerous volunteers and community organizations who donate their time and enthusiasm as usual this year, town council and staff wanted to let them know their hard work is appreciated.
