Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month, we re talking about how to know when someone is struggling with mental health issues, what resources are out there and how we can overcome the stigma. But what about those providing the help?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â Mental health professionals are stepping up big time during the pandemic and their work is paying off. Whatâs really good is that Iâm starting to see that the stigma of mental health is starting to recede, people are coming forth more and really asking for help, said Dr. Wendy Weinstein, Unit Chief at BryLin Hospital in Buffalo.

MASON, Ohio â Because of the fatigue many students felt during a school year dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic, mental health and well-being are topping educatorsâ lists of priorities.
A program at Mason City Schools has been addressing those concerns for years and since the recent spike since the start of this pandemic. They found, over a three-week period, more than a dozen students were hospitalized with suicidal thoughts, feeling the weight of the pandemic and wishing to harm themselves.
