At about 10 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1400 block of Eisenhower Drive for a report of a person with a gun. Officers learned that a 31-year-old male had left the residence with a gun. Police said he was having an emotional crisis, saying he wanted to take his own life. Officers located the male by Johnson Drive and Bismark Street. He had a gun pointed to himself. He then left for another location in the 3600 block of Bismark, where he was by a cinder block fence.

The family of a Walmart worker who killed himself has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit. The suit says the employee shouldn t have been able to buy a shotgun from the store where he worked. The suit accused Mace s manager of knowing the employee had said he wanted to kill himself. The family of a Walmart worker who killed himself at the end of 2019 has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the retail giant. The lawsuit said the worker, Jacob Mace, had recently told a Walmart colleague he was having suicidal thoughts. His family added in the lawsuit, filed Tuesday and first reported by NBC News, that Mace s manager was aware of the conversation but Mace was still able to buy a shotgun from the southern Maryland Walmart store where he worked.
