Four more people have been arrested for alleged fraud totalling R2.4 million over the Talana temporary housing unit project in Limpopo.
The latest accused are members of the Housing Development Agency s (HDA) bid evaluation committee.
An HDA project manager and a businesswoman were arrested in the same case earlier this week.
Four members of the Housing Development Agency s (HDA) bid evaluation committee have been arrested on fraud charges in connection with the Talana Covid-19 shack settlement scandal.
Hawks spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke said they were arrested in Johannesburg on Friday and face charges of fraud to the tune of R2.4 million in connection with the Talana temporary housing unit project outside Tzaneen in Limpopo.

CAPE TOWN - Hundreds of people have been left destitute following a fire in Masiphumelele.
The blaze tore through the community on Thursday, burning around 1,000 homes to the ground.

Fire and Rescue Services Jermaine Carelse said no one has been injured: “The fire was extinguished at around about 1am this morning and crews continue to monitor the area.”
