In many different ways, the mark of the creator of the trio Matamoros, being the greatest international resonance in the Cuba s pentagram, is present and still seems to accompany passers-by as they walk along the Callejon del Carmen Street, in the city s historic center. This is so because on one of those corners, very close to the Las Enramadas Heritage Corridor, stands an almost full-body bronze sculpture of Miguel Matamoros with his guitar, to whom tribute is paid in his hometown and throughout Cuba.
