Curstin Giffin is the daughter of Beth Reck Giffin and Dale Giffin. She is enrolled at WCCC where she is secretary of the Exercise Science and Sports Med program. She is in National Technical Honor Society, Student Council, AERO and the Interact Club. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and participates in varsity basketball, earning TVC all academic and all conference awards. Upon graduation Curstin plans to attend Ohio Wesleyan University to major in human health kinetics with a specialty in exercise science and sports medicine. She has verbally committed at OWU for basketball. She intends to be a licensed chiropractor. Evan Wells is the son of Travis Wells and Jennifer Wells.

According to FBLA adviser Angila Golik, “We usually have a panel of teachers and community members as the judges, but this year, due to COVID-19, we opened up voting to all students, faculty, and staff as well.” Voting took place by electronic ballot, so the results could be seen instantaneously by everyone involved. The $400 in cash prizes for the winners were sponsored by the Adams Hub from Carson City, and FBLA senior members Abby Golik and Serena Dantzler were the emcees of the video show.

Raider III Mission saved by local family National Technical Honor Society Sponsor February 5, 2021 Launch team members included Josie, Michael, Charles and David Brenner. The Brenner family performed a High Altitude Balloon launch on Jan. 10 atop the hills of Winnweiler, Germany. Despite freezing temperatures, limited on-site support, and one very complicated configuration, this local family of four successfully launched three pods into near space. While COVID-19 social distancing rules threatened the launch date, Kaiserslautern High School’s National Technical Honor Society determined a way to adapt their plan by recruiting a single household launch crew. Michael Brenner, a junior at Kaiserslautern High School and NTHS president, together with brother Charles Brenner (KHS freshman), performed the majority of the launch. Pearland ISD student Nicole Rubio writes letters of appreciation to campus workers

PEARLAND, Texas (KTRK) When we talk about school, we usually focus on teachers, but one student wanted to make sure other workers on campus knew they were appreciated. Senior Nicole Rubio of Robert Turner College and Career High School in Pearland ISD hand wrote eight letters to custodians, cafeteria workers, a security guard and a teacher. Rubio said the letters started as a way to earn community service hours for the National Technical Honor Society. Wexford-Missaukee CTC students, MSP partnering to bring awareness to human trafficking

CADILLAC — A partnership between a student group at the Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center and the Michigan State Police is trying to bring awareness to the community about an important social issue. That issue is human trafficking and the partnership is hoping it will help to save the life of a person who finds themselves in a terrible situation. Recently, students belonging to the National Technical Honor Society and two troopers from the Cadillac Michigan State Police Post went to several area hotels to see if they would be willing to use soap and make-up removal wrapped with a red band printed with the National Human Trafficking Hotline number.
