NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio North Royalton City Schools recognizes Nick Phillips as the 2020-21 Friend of Education.
This annual award goes to someone who significantly contributes to North Royalton City Schools, helps inspire and empower students, and dedicates themselves to making North Royalton and Broadview Heights great places to live.
Phillips is president of the North Royalton Alumni Association, where he constantly strives to make it a relevant organization that promotes a connection to North Royalton City Schools. He conducts monthly meetings and fundraising efforts and heads up the association’s leadership team.
Another Edmonds Kids Garden event set for April 24-25 Posted: April 22, 2021 25
All families in the Edmonds and Shoreline area are invited to the third and final Edmonds Kids Garden event at Kruckeberg Botanic Garden on April 24-25 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day. Head to the Garden for a self-guided activity and take home a craft kit.
The Edmonds Kids Garden event series is a collaboration between the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden Foundation and the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club to celebrate and promote youth gardeners. Printing and materials donated by Coldwell Banker Bain of Edmonds. This event is free for all local families thanks to a generous grant from the National Garden Clubs Inc.

CAMDEN On Thursday, April 22, Camden Garden Club will welcome Master Gardener Linda Redman in the American Legion parking lot, 91 Pearl Street, in Camden for a presentation entitled “Twigs and Things” beginning at 9:30 a.m. The talk is free and open to the public and everyone attending will be required to wear a face mask and observe social distancing. There is no seating available so attendees should also bring a chair.
Linda Redman hails from Bucksport and graduated from the University of Maine, Farmington. She is an educator, avid gardener and photographer, and lover of the outdoors. While volunteering at Brae Maple Farm, in Union, she learned the art of making twig fences from Master Gardener Sam Harris. She expanded that experience by using twigs, not only for garden creations, but for other uses in the home.
