WASHINGTON â The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced Army Cpl. Dale W. Wright, 19, from Flint, Michigan was accounted for April 23, 2020.

According to DPAA Wright was member of Company C, 1
st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division and was reported missing in action on Dec. 2, 1950.
The deceasedâs unit was attacked near the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea. Following the encounter Wrightâs body was unable to be recovered.
Scientists from the DPAA used anthropological analysis in tandem with mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) analysis with scientists from the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System.

BOSTON (AP) An Army officer from Massachusetts who was reported missing in action during the Korean War has been accounted for and is coming home for burial, military officials said Wednesday.
The remains of 1st Lt. Thomas J. Redgate are scheduled to buried at the veterans’ cemetery in Bourne on Sept. 17, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency said in a statement.
Redgate, a member of Battery A, 48th Field Artillery Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, was reported missing Dec. 11, 1950, when his unit was attacked during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, according to the Army.
