Remains of Minnesota soldier killed in Pearl Harbor attack identified
The remains of Neal K. Todd will be buried in Akeley next month.

The remains of a World War II soldier from Minnesota, who was long unaccounted for, have been identified.
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Thursday that Navy Fireman 1st Class Neal K. Todd of Akeley had been accounted for in February. His remains will be buried on July 10 in Akeley.
Todd was killed on Dec. 7, 1941 on the USS Oklahoma battleship when it was attacked by a Japanese aircraft while moored in Pearl Harbor. Todd was one of 429 crew members killed in the attack.
Earl Maurice Ellis, 23, of Hope, Arkansas, was recently identified as one of the victims of the Pearl Harbor attack that capsized the USS Oklahoma, the ship Ellis served on. His twin sister was a Humboldt County resident and he will be buried next to her in Eureka.

The remains of a Navy sailor from Illinois killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 have been identified after nearly 80 years of being missing, according to the Defense Department.
