Lok Virsa museums re-open today

Islamabad May 17, 2021 Islamabad : Lok Virsa and National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (NIFTH) museums would open from today (Monday). Both the museums were closed from May 10 to May 16 in line with the directions of the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC). According to NIFTH, In line with the directions of NCOC, for slowing down the curve of COVID-19 pandemic during Eidul Fitr holidays, both the Museums Heritage Museum and Pakistan Monument administered by Lok Virsa was closed during the time period. Lok Virsa Museums would reopen with COVID reduced timings of 10 am to 6 pm.

Heritage Museum and Pakistan Monument Museum would remain open for public from Monday to Friday daily, between 10 a.m to 4 p.m (with a break for prayer on Friday from 1 p.m to 2 p.m.

Lok Virsa changes time for Museums due to COVID-19 pandemic March 16, 2021 National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage has changed the timing for Virsa Heritage Museum and Pakistan Monument Museum due to COVID-19 pandemic. Executive Director Lok Virsa, Talha Ali told APP, that both the museums would remain open for public from Tuesday to Sunday daily, between 10 am to 6 pm, with a break for prayer on Friday. He said Monday would be a holiday at Lok Virsa museum, adding all visitors would be fully facilitated and COVID-19 SOPs would be strictly implemented during their visit between 10am to 6pm. The heritage and Monument Museums are attracting a large number of people from different parts of the country, featuring cultural heritage.
