Statistics : Modern Building To Attain Quality Vision Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on December 29, 2020 chaired the official inauguration ceremony of the new head office of the National Institute of Statistics. The government of Cameroon will henceforth have quality statistics that will enable it better evaluate actions and the population on their part will also better evaluate the execution of government policy for their wellbeing thanks to the quality statistics that will be produced by the National Institute of Statistics (NIS). Romania cereal production in 2020,17 million tonnes, lower by 44% from 2019

30/12/2020 11:06 The total production of Romanian grain cereal dropped this year to almost half from 2019, due to the prolonged drought which affected some agricultural areas in the country, reaching a bit over 17 million tonnes, according to the data supplied by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), at the request of AGERPRES. If last year the harvest of grain cereal obtained from 5.56 million hectares surpassed 30,41 million tonnes, this year the grains were gathered from a slightly smaller radius as opposed to 2019, namely from approximately 5.34 million hectares. In this year, Romania was not able to reach the performance of the past two years in order to be at the top of the European Union for corn production, because of the prolonged drought which destroyed almost half of the yield, despite the fact that the record corn harvest obtained last year, of over 18,66 million tonnes, was reviewed at the request of the European Commission, who said that

Population in Portugal up by 0.19% By TPN/Lusa, in News · 29-12-2020 14:00:00 · 0 Comments The number of inhabitants in Portugal grew by 0.19% in 2019 compared to the previous year, reversing the trend of the annual change in the population over the previous eight years, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE) According to data from the Regional Statistical Yearbooks, with statistical information on a regional and municipal scale for 2019, of the seven NUTS II (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistical Purposes), four showed an increase in the respective resident population, namely the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon (+0.59 percent), the Autonomous Region of Madeira (+0.12 percent), the North (+0.08 percent) and the Centre (+0.03 percent).
