Face masks are now commonplace, and required in most businesses, offices and public places, but many people are still wearing the same cloth masks that they have been wearing since last summer. While
cloth masks are still better than nothing, they were originally meant to be a stopgap measure due to the need and relative shortage of high grade N95 and KN95 masks for medical workers.
