Average number of pensioners drops by 7,000 persons in Q3

Sursa foto: Twitter The average number of pensioners was 5.125 million persons in the third quarter of 2020, decreasing by 7,000 persons over the previous quarter, and the average number of pensioners from social state insurance has reached 4.675 million persons, according to data of the National Institute for Statistics (INS) sent on Friday to AGERPRES. The average monthly pension (determined taking into account the sums for pensions in all categories of pensions - social insurance, invalidity, descendants pension, etc. - paid by pension houses) was 1,505 RON, increasing by 4.8 pct over the previous quarter. The average social state insurance pension was 1,454 RON, and the ratio between the average nominal net average state insurance pension for age limit with a full contribution (without tax and the social health insurance contribution) and the net average wage was of 51.9 pct (compared to 51.0 pct in the previous quarter).

Cameroon: General price level was boosted by food products in Jan-Sep 2020 (INS)

(Business in Cameroon) - In the first nine months of the 2020 financial year, the general price level rose by 2.5% year-over-year. This is below the 3% threshold in the CEMAC region, according to a report on changes in price levels over the said period published on December 10, 2020, by the National Institute for Statistics (INS). “ The inflationary tendencies were spurred by food products, despite the measures implemented by the government to preserve households’ purchasing power,” the INS writes. “ The rise in food products’ price level was mainly due to an increase in the prices of fruits (+9.4%), vegetables (+7.2%), meat (+4.0%) as well as bread and cereals (+3.5%),” it adds.

Construction works increase by 19 5 pct in October 2020 over October 2019

Sursa foto: desteptarea.ro The volume of construction works has increased by 3.4 pct as a brute series in October over the previous month and by 19.5 pct compared to the similar period of last year, shows the data published, on Wednesday, by the National Institute for Statistics (INS). As a series adjusted depending on the number of working days and seasonality, construction works increased by 1 pct in October 2020 over September and by 23.7 pct over October 2019. According to the INS, in October 2020 compared to September 2020, the increase as a brute series of construction work was emphasized by the new construction work (+6.3 pct). Capital repair works decreased by 4.7 pct, and maintenance or current repairs works remained at the same level.
