Celebrating National Immunization Awareness Week Yesterday marked the beginning of National Immunization Awareness Week (NIAW). This is an annual event which is held during the last week of April that serves to highlight and recognize the importance of immunization. NIAW coincides with the Pan American Health Organization s Vaccination Week in the Americas and the World Health Organization s World Immunization Week.
